Rev. Aleta C. Waters
Reverend Aleta Chymia Waters is a native Washingtonian, who grew up in Southeast, attended D.C. Public Schools and graduated in 1985 from Ballou Senior High School.
Reverend Waters has a passion for Evangelism, Missions and Outreach. She seeks to share the gospel message of Jesus Christ to win the unsaved and redeemed the backslider. In 2006, Reverend Waters earned a Certificate in Biblical Counseling, Caring for People God’s Way, through the American Association of Christian Counselors, Light University. She received her license to preach on August 26, 2007. On May 6, 2011, Reverend Waters earned a Certificate in Theology, from the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC), Atlanta, Georgia. She was ordained into the gospel ministry on December 18, 2011, by Matthews Memorial Baptist Church, under the spiritual leadership of Bishop Charles Matthew Hudson Jr. She has an exemplary gift and talent in administration and anointed by God in preaching and teaching.
Reverend Waters’ faithfulness to God allows her to serve wherever her gifts and talents are needed and welcome. In 2018, Reverend Waters became a member of Friendship Christian Fellowship Ministries (FCFM) where Jeffery W. Jackson is the Senior Pastor/Teacher. Pastor Jackson sat on the ordaining council for Reverend Waters, and having confirmed her ministry, Pastor Jackson and the FCF Ministries welcomed her to serve as the Executive Pastor. Since joining FCFM, there has been many accomplishments, including Rev. Waters assisting in the FCFM transition. Rev. Waters currently serves the FCF Ministries, as well as serves in administration as New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Robert E. White.
Reverend Waters completed her studies at the Graduate School USA and in 2016, earned a Certificate in Paralegal Studies. She completed over 31 years of federal government service, and currently works in the legal field in the private sector. She is a member of Alpha Pi Chi National Sorority, Incorporated, Alpha Alpha Chapter of Arlington, Virginia.
Reverend Waters is the proud mother of one daughter, Amira Zhiné, and resides in Prince George’s County, Maryland with her family. Always ready to answer the question, “Who Are You?” she will humbly reply, “I am redeemed” - Galatians 3:13.
